Anna Modelska
Anna Modelska,ceramic artist, founded her ceramic studio in Dolny Kubin, Slovakia in 1996.
From the beginning she was experimenting with different ceramic shapes and ceramic technologic
processes and looking for expression, which would suited to her.
Nowadays she uses mostly sheet technique and rotating in an earthen-ware.
Her speciality are extruded ceramic shapes, mostly lace, which exempts on bowls and
cruets gloriously. When the ceramics gets the final wishing shape, then is
burnt at a temperature 960-1100C.
Another creative process is patination by
various ceramic colours. After this manner every piece of treated clay can become
a unique ceramic masterpiece.
Peculiar synthesis of shapes and colours makes Anna Modelska's ceramics
stylish, fancy and close to our aesthetic perception. This ceramics of unusual
colours and shapes has already been presented on several exhibitions, mostly
in Orava region in Slovakia, Eastern Europe.
