This was not an official project, I did some self portraits, unassisted,
in my spare time during my first semester. Later on I used these
for other projects.
The hardest part about doing self portraits, using a mirror, not taken directly in front of the mirror is knowing where to be and where to look, since you can't see the camera. I solved this by setting my camera on a tripod, and then looking through the lens, while holding a stuffed animal about where I'd be in the picture. Then after focusing the camera I moved over to where I had held the stuffed animal. |
