Starsign - Cancer
Place of birth - Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
I was born to the proud parents Ormand Robert Johnston and Lorraine Lesley Hogan. I have an older brother Michael 36 yo born 1963, 2 sisters Marrianne 30 yo born 1969 and Karen 29 yo born 1970. My eldest sister Marrianne is engaged to a great guy named Ivan and they have 2 wonderful children Imogen 3 yo and Kurt 1 yo.
My younger sister Karen is getting married on 24th October 99 to another wonderful guy named Paul.
My mother and father got divorced after Marrianne was born in 1969. She then married my stepfather Tony, who is Karen's father, that failed miserably, well l say that now because l never really liked him. I mean how could someone that you trusted, now that he has become your new father sexually molester a young boy about 9 yo and then tell that boy that if he ever told anybody especially his mother he would kill her. That's what he did to me. This went on for about 4 years. I'm not going to go into detail as my eyes are starting to fill up with tears as l'm typing this down. Mum and Tony got divorced in 1982 or sometime around then.
By that time Mum had met and moved into a flat with my two sisters in Tottenham to the man she is married to today, Hugh Montgomery and l can say this, Hugh has been the best father anyone could ask for. Mum and Hugh moved back into the family home in St.Albans after the divorce from Tony, Hugh bought out Tony's share of the house so it now belongs to Mum and Hugh.
l had moved out of home in 1983. l was living in Deer Park and used to visit every weekend. They planned and organised their own wedding with a little help from some family and friends. They got married on Grand Final Day 26th September 1986 and l was honoured and proud to give the Bride away. Mum was so beautiful and Hugh handsome and nervous. But the day went off without a hitch, sorry there were 2 things that went wrong on the day, first - the temperature reached 40 degrees and because we had the wedding at home in the garage that we decorated with flowers, chairs and all the trimmings it was a tin garage and we sweltered in the heat but got through it ok, the second hitch was that Carlton won the Grand Final. Oh well we cant have everything perfect now can we.
I was unemployed for 5 years after trying my heart out looking for work. I actually tried to committ suicide, but l'm still here. Thanks to God. I think it opened my eyes and l went to Social Security as it was then called. I got on a few courses,
secretarial courses and then l got into a computer course and sat the Public Service test. I had to wait a few months but eventually l got the results back and had passed. I was on my last 2 weeks at the computer course when l was told to ring the Remand Centre for a job in the Public Service but l didn't get it. So the service rang me again and l asked them if they could not call me to go for interviews for jobs untill my course was over in the 2 weeks coming so they said fine. The very next day they rang and told me to go for Job on 25th September 1989 at The Department of Defence on 350 St.Kilda Rd Melbourne. At 9:00am.
On that day l went and was taken to my new place of employment at 310 St.Kilda Rd, next to Victoria Barracks. It was a Army Unit the Maintenence Engineering Agency. That is where my life changed for the better. I was taken to see my new boss a female Army Officer MAJ Devrey she was a great boss but then again l get on with females better than males cause l'm gay. Anyway she sent me down to the place where l was to work for l think it was 10 months. It was a tin shed down in Sturt St it was doing the sorting of EMEI's, before l was put into another job doing registry. Doing the mail registering, all the mail in a book and sending it out to different sections who was to look after it.
