During summer 1999 I traveled to Hungary through Eastern Europe by hitchhiking. I went to
Estonia by ferry, where I continued to Lithuania by bus. In Lithuania I met a friend, whom I
had met in Internet. Together we continued by hitchhiking through Poland, Czech and Slovakia
to Hungary. The trip took about four days. In Ozora, Hungary there was an outdoor techno
festival called Solipse. It lasted for a week and there
was
also a total eclipse during the festival. After the festival we returned by about the same
route to Lithuania and Finland. Unfortunately my camera was broken, so I couldn't get any photos. It was quite easy to hitchhike in Eastern Europe, but I might have had more troubles without my friend, who spoke Russian and some Polish. There were many beautiful old cities on the way and lot to see. There was usually no difficulties to find a place for the tent, although we slept once under a bridge, because it rained too much, and in Krakow we slept in the railway station.
