The Uneasy Rider
        Middle-parted, unruly, and unkept: This "Style" was especially popular among
        blue collar guys who secretly envied hippies but resisted growing there hair long
        until they knew noone would hassle them for it..

The "baretta" Bad Guy/Lounge Lizard
        What happened when the Easy Rider decided to clean up his act. Parted in the middle
        but shagged, styled, and blowdried, ususally shoulder length.  A thick moustache is
        essential for balance. Best worn with a Qiana shirt, whose collars extended over a
        wide-lapeled jacket like the wings of the concorde, with flared or elephant-belled pants..

The Tony Manero
          Hair gets swept of the forehead for the first time since 1963with this blow-dried version
        of the 50's pompadour ("The Dry Look"). First sighted around 1974 in bridge-and-tunnel
        disco, it was marketed to the world three and a half years later by ""JOHN TRAVOLTA""
        in Saturday Night Fever.

The "FRO" (The GLITTER'FRO)
        Black pride gets taken to the max with these huge well sculptured naturals.
        Goodbye Dixie Peach, HELLO Afro Sheen..  Going best with wine-colored jump suits,
       
        were cursed with too curly hair got in on the act with there knockoff version called
        the Isro, In honor of those many members of the hebrew faith - such as Gabriel (Kotter)
        kaplan and Art Garfunkle - who sported one..

The "FARRA" Flipout
      Inspired by "FARRAH FAWCETT-MAJORS",  the star of Charlies Angels, this blow-dried
      curling-ironed spectacular,which first surfaced around 1977, is still seen today on
      junior high school students in suburbia and on Oliver North's secretary..

The Wedge (Tortured)
        Olympian Dorothy Hamill inspired this 1976 shortish'do, which was worn with ease
        by both young girls and older matrons.  Later allowing disco fanatics to  create the
        "Tortured Disco Wedge" which was as far from the " Natural Look" as you could go..

The Shag
        Around 1971 when long haired women got tired of the hassles of tending to such
        lengthy locks, they modified there look with this style popularized by Janr Fonda
        in Klute. The style allowed them to keep there hair long, even if it made them look like
        extras  from the planet of the apes..
