Edinburgh Athletic would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors and hope that together we can be winners. I would like to start the year by offering congratulations to Whitehill Welfare FC for a excellent draw against a strong Alloa Athletic side. My personal friend John Bird was amongst the goalscorers and I would like to wish "Birdy" and all connected with Whitehill all the best in the replay. Also well done to Annan who have a great chance of progressing after a great draw away at Brechin. On the home front we started the second half of the season with a draw at Hawick ( Sat 8th Jan)and I felt the side played extremely well in very difficult condidtions. We passed the ball well and if we had taken our chances we could have won 3 games. Still that's fitbaw!! With no fixture scheduled for Sat 15th Jan we are trying to arrange a friendly and this would give our new boys a wee chance to gain some valauble match fitness. Behind the scenes we have just purchased new training kit and the players are delighted with this.We are still however looking for a little finanacial support and any interested parties should call me on 0131 467 5274 or Euge on 0131 659 6543 for package details. In the next few weeks I will discussing the possibilty of EAFC actually securing our own facilities with a view of joining the big boys in the Scottish Cup as this brings greatly needed revenue and also exposure for our sponsors.
