ZFL Game to Watch
    vs.
The Dawgs face the Pie Men for the second time this season.  They saw each other in the home opener when last year's basement dwelling Pie Men dealt a blow to the previous playoff team.  The Pie Men scored an unprecedented 173 points against a team that outscored them by 630 points last season.  The Dawgs posted a respectable 114 only to realize they had been slaughtered by 59 points.  The Pie Men may be at the top of a conference that the Dawgs are now sitting in the basement of but the Pie Men are only averaging 5.4 more points a game than the Dawgs.  But that is with a few rough weeks for the Pie Men who have been hurt badly by bye weeks, and this week will be back at full strength.  Could David topple the proverbial Pie Men of the ZFL?  Only another week will tell.

NFL Game to Watch
         vs.
           vs.
Both teams went into last week undefeated and suffered losses.  The 49ers were absolutely embarassed by a winless team.  The surprise Saints fought tooth and nail only to come up a little shy at the end.  You pick the winner of this matchup.  San Fran has a history of coming off defeats and tearing anyone apart.  This game is in New Orleans where fans finally have something to cheer for and are getting awful rowdy.  Another intangible is the big man - Ditka.  If anyone can get this Saints team up to play at a level necessary to beat the Niners he can.  49ers are the obvious favorite and safe bet, but a betting man could make some putting it all on the Saints in this observers opinion.

Fountain of YOUTH!
The man without age took the ZFL by storm this week.  Absolutely destroying a record which has stood since the first week of the ZFL's first season.  We thought Bledsoe's mark of 41 points in a game would be forever uncompromised.  But now as the heavens parted for the former Eagle - he did it.  Somebody in the Eagles head office feels like a real ass right now by the way.  441 Yards, 4 Touchdowns, and no Interceptions gave Randall Cunningham a total of 46 points in the ZFL.  All this came during the Monday Night matchup of the season thus far.  The undefeated Vikings met the perrenial power house Packers at Lambaugh field where the Packers had won 29 straight games.  The ballsy play of Cunningham was only made possible by some ballsy front office moves.  First was actually getting Randall, and second going after Moss, who is quickly becoming the league's premier reciever.  These ballsy moves were echoed by the ZFL's very own Hippies who may ride this tandom through to the playoffs and become the ZFL's first expansion team ever to make the playoffs.  This will make him not only the top scoring QB in the ZFL's history, but also the top scoring player in ZFL books.  Ripken Jr, McGwire, Sosa, the 49ers on Sunday, and now this.  I guess it is true, records are set to be broken.

Missing Player of the Week

Kerry Collins threw for 302 yards, and ran for another 9.  He also threw 3 TD's, with 2 interceptions.  This would have given the former Nitanny Lion 27 points.

Back on Top!
   &

After a one-week fall from grace the Pie Men and the Hippies have reclaimed the top spots in their respective conferences.  Each have held the top spot each of the first three weeks.  Both suffered losses in week four, but combinations of wins, losses, and scores put them back on top this week.  The Hippies have played all conference games so far and have gone 4-0, while the Pie Men are 4-1 overall, and 3-1 in the conference.  The Hippies have outscored the Pie Men on the season by 29 points.  These teams will square off head to head in Week 10.  Until then they'll try and remain on top.
