We are talking serious old school here. This is a legitimate rivalry in the early years of the ZFL. These two teams met twice in the 1997 regular season, each taking a game by less than 10 points. They then met in the League Chapionship game where the Gridstars edged the Wookies. they then met in week 2 this season and the Wookies again lost 99-82. The Gridstars have now taken three games in a row from the Wookies. There is more to this game than just revenge, the DFFC is at stake. These are the top two teams in the conference right now. Regardless of who wins the Gridstars will maintain the lead by it will be ever so slim. Watch this game guys, it is big.
Moulds would have scored 32 points for someone in the ZFL this week. There is a big reason he didn't start, he is a free agent! Hey guys only two games weren't decided by less than 32 points, oh well maybe next time. By the way check and see how many free agency picks you have left.

We have had
a couple additions to the record book in the past couple weeks. Ryan
Leaf has made his third appearance into the
negitive point club. His week 6 (-5) point performance almost topped
his earlier -6 point performance. He is the only player to be in
that club for multiple games, congratulations Ryan.
We also had
another great ZFL
milestone. The lowest total points scored in a single game for both
teams was beaten three times in the past three weeks. The record
will stand as 111 points; The Dawgs
beat the Mallards
61-50. Again Ryan Leaf
a part of ZFL
history. In all fairness Leaf
did help the Mallards
to their season high total of 106 points in week 8, adding 21 points himself.
Steve
Young, who was the inuagural member of the
negative point club and the first player to be in both the negative point
and the 40 point game club again made a place in the 40 point game club.
He scored 44 points for the Nighthawks
in week 7.
The NFL saw
Jason Elam tie
its longest field goal record by booting a 63 yarder on Sunday. This
also helped him to beat the ZFL
kicker record by 6 points. He brought the Wookies
36 points in Week 8.
