(11 July 1998) The Single Season Tickets for the 1998 Denver Broncos went on sale today
and within 2 hours were sold out for every game with the exception of a few scattered seats here and there.
I've got my tickets for each home game with the exception of the Dallas game, I hope you got yours.
I will try to add some new photos from each game, a lot of that depends on server space !
(24 July 1998) Summer Training Camp begins on the Campus of the University of
Colorado in Greeley, CO. This event is open to the public and the World Champions have many extras
events planned for the fans attending. Hope to see you there! I will try to get some photos up on the
Web Site for those of you that can not attend. They will also be posted in the Broncos Newsgroup!
(8 August 1998) The Pre-Season has begun and the Broncos gave it to the St. Louis Rams
without the need of John Elway at the helm. He was attending to his wife Janet after her surgery. Bubby
Brister lead the team the entire 1st half with an excellent showing. The 2nd half saw our latest addition
Brian Griese slide in behind center and showed much poise for a rookie. Look for good things from this
young lad. The final score: DENVER 20 - ST. LOUIS 13.
(14 August 1998) Our Pre-Season Home opener against the New Orleans Saints was nothing
spectacular to write about but it showed that we could beat anyone. Previously the Broncos had only won 1 of
the 4 games against the Saints and that included two at home, looks like the Broncos are ready to give it to
anyone this year! It also marked the return of John Elway at quarterback for the 1st time since he led the
Broncos to the Superbowl Championship! Click on the Bronco LOGO to view some pictures. The final score: DENVER 17 - NEW ORLEANS 10.
(24 August 1998) Monday Night Football at it's best! The Broncos and Packers head-to-head
once again and for a time there the score was even the same as during Superbowl XXXII. The end results were the
same too as our Broncos beat the Packers again. Elway, Brister and yes even Griese all gave good showings and it
looks like we just need some fine tuning before the regular season kicks off. Keep your eyes on ROD SMITH as he is
going to be a big factor in this coming season. Click on the Bronco LOGO to view some pictures. The final score: DENVER 34 - GREEN BAY 31.
(29 August 1998) The last Pre-Season game was to say the least, not very exciting at
all. Elway and company looked great on the one drive they were in for and scored rather easily against the Oilers but
after that it was just another ho-hum game. Granted we didn't want our starters in for the whole game (don't need any
injuries before the big one) on Monday Night 7 Sept. but it was a real let down after the wild game against the Packers.
There were some good plays made by our 2nd and 3rd string players and shows that we do have some good depth at certain
positions so that was at least worth looking at. I wonder who will be leaving the team today, I guess we'll have to just
wait and see. The final score: DENVER 13 - TENNESSEE 16.
