All right! The playoffs are here and 6 teams are about to test the "win or go home" theory. Remember that every team still has a chance to win the points...even the Rookies...well... (Don?t worry, every will get there?s today).
Here we go:
How could you not start with No Chance? The amazing 10-3 record (7-1 in the NFC) was something that legends are made of...well not really. How does Brian Griese, Rich Gannon, James Stewart and Antowain smith lead you to the playoffs after losing your first 2 games? Answer: They don?t. You get a fucking stud core of receivers and you kill everyone with Isaac Bruce, Ed McCaffery and Chris Carter. This was the year of the Wide Receiver. Then There was the Fat Daddy?s. The Fat Daddy?s? We were making fun of that father and son team at the draft. Leroy Hoard and Duce Staley? Gimme a fucking break....but wait, the draft isn?t the only way to acquire players...there is Free Agency! The FD?s had the pick up of the year: Kurt (Don?t call me Curt) Warner, who they picked up in week 4. He scored 22 points for him that week. The FD?s ended up with a 7-5 record and first place in the AFC. No Chance and The Fat Dad?s have a bye in the first round. Draft pick of the year has to go to the CheeseHeads. Edgerrin James in the 4th round. A rookie? A stud! The CheeseHeads had a few snafu?s this year. Starting their kicker on a bye week. TD going down in week 4. Wasting an early pick on Morton (can?t a 40+ yarder) Anderson...wow, did that guy take a dump or what? The Cheese wound up with the second best record in the league at 8-5. Next we have Crockett. Al! A couple big disappointments for Al this year: Curtis Martin - The guy can?t get in the zone and Jake Reed. The Vanishing! Al had a great pickup in Germaine Crowell. But that?s about it. By the way. Nice Barry Sanders draft pick! Crockett went 7-6 in the DFFL and play the CheeseHeads in the first round. Next is BigDick. 6-6-1? and in the playoffs? What the fuck is that? You should have to have a winning record to make the big dance. Dick is so lucky. He went 1-4-1 in the last 6 weeks and still made the playoffs. If it wasn?t for Rick opening his big mouth to the FD?s about Kurt Warner...Dick would be ...well, he?d still be 6-6-1 cause his running backs didn?t have a touch down until week 8. Are you kidding me? ....and he only had 2 touchdowns by week 13. That is pathetic. Dick plays Alley in round 1. Alley? Speaking of needing a winning record. 6-7 makes you a loser, Dude! If this guys makes it to the SuperBowl...he?s gonna have to get all of us stoned......twice. Alley made only one pick-up this year: Brett Conway. who the fuck is that? Oh yeah, a kicker. Damn Kickers! Now with the teams that didn?t make it. The SpermBank ended up with a 6-7 record like Alley, but they lost to Alley in the Head to Head tie breaker. How lame are you? The SB?s team never panned out like they hoped. Steve Young: Ouch! Jeff Garcia...huhhahhhaha haha aha a aha aha ahahahahahhahahha. See ya next Year! Next we have the Stallions. The Stallions should have made the playoffs...but they didn?t. They were burned by injuries and by inconsistency. He had a kick ass team, and his players had big weeks, but none at the same time. Brunell, Moss, E. Smith, Tim Brown. Who wouldn?t want those guys on their team. Next year! The Shark! The Shark had a nice draft but they were decimated by injuries. This was the year of the downed RunningBack. Like the CheeseHeads their top runner went down early. Taylor came back, but he was never the same. Dorsey Levens was nicked up and never really panned out either. The shark went 5-8, yet they are still in the pionts race. Last and least...the Rookies. Wow, they were bad. 3-10 and 180 points behind the points leader. The Rookies won 2 of their last 9 despite having Brad Johnson, Michael Westbrook and....well...I guess I can see why they went 3-10. Next Year!
