Slicing and Cutting your SVCD to fit on 2 or 3 CDs

(and checking to see if you did it correctly)

Ok, you should have a MPG the size of 1.4gig to 1.65gig for 2 cds and up to 2.5gig for 3 cds.

If not, then you didn't use your SVCD Calculator correctly. Start over if need be or chop credits

if its to big.

Load up TMPGEnc.

File Menu / MPEG Tools. (below) Demultiplex tab.

Your MPG should look exactly like this.

Problem Solving:

Video isn't 29.97 it's 23.976 = You didnt check 3:2 Pulldown in TMPGEnc Video Config Window (Redo)

Video isn't 29.97 it's 23.976 = You didn't select Forced Film on DVD2AVI (Redo)

Video isn't 480x480 = Redo TMPGEnc and check your settings. (Redo)

Video isn't 480x480 its 480x576 and 25fps = This is normal for overseas PAL format, your ok.

Padding Stream, I don't see one = Don't sweat it, you don't really need one.

Double click on video_stream 0x00 and save the m2v file.

Double click on audio_stream 0x00 and save the mp2 file.

Load up BBMpeg.

Hit Start Encoding (Above).

Hit Settings (Above).

Select 796 for MAX Size for 80 min cds (Above).

796 is half the file size. (IE: If your MPEG was 1.4 gigs make it 700)

Make sure the rest look the same.

Open PS = Save your MPGS as....

Open VS = Load m2v file

Open AS 1 = Load mp2 file (Above).

Make sure your window settings are exacly like this (Above).

Then Save Settings Button (Below) so you don't have to insert

them everytime you load up BBMpeg.

Hit OK when finished (Above).

Hit Start to start to cut your movie in 2 (Above).

To create a 2 second overlay between CDs do the process twice. Once as 796

save the first CD. Then once as 795 and save the second CD. You get the idea.

This process takes about 15 min.
