Barry's Treck to 2000

It all started in the training camp.
After a short hold out over contract disputes, Barry Sanders made his was to Training camp with a big smile on his face. We all wonder, was the smile because of being back with his team, or was it because of his large contract which was the highest in the NFL until Brett Favre signed a contract he doesn't deserve. This is where every great season starts...... At training camp.
Working for the extra yards.
Barry never gives up until he hears the ref sound the whistle or to the point where he is crushed by a 300lb. lineman and can't move. Don't think that will stop him. Barry Sanders has never had a major injury in his life. He is expected to take the all-time rushing lead away from Walter Payton in the middle to near the end of next season. Barry deserves a Super Bowl along with the rest of the team. They have the great offense with a productive Offensive line and they have a top 10 defense and ofcourse we always have the great leg in Jason Hanson. We have everything, we just need to put it all together.
The end result.........
Barry ended the season with 2,053 yards. People begin to wonder what he could have had if he would have done better in the first 2 games. He combined for only 53 yards. From there on, there was no doubt that Ross and Sanders were a good match. Wayne Fontes would always take Barry out in the short yardage situations, well Ross kept him in a lot more and he proved he could do that right. Barry was carried off the field in the final game against the Jets. Even though they lost to the Bucs in the 1st round of the playoffs, we feel that they had a very productive year. Now Ross has to make his talent take him to the top and win games this year. If we could beat Green Bay last year. I think we can beat them IN lambeau this year. Good Luck Barry.
