The mailing list team was simply diabolical in the first half and suffered from a series of unexpected disasters. Linden forget his trainers delaying kick off by 10 minutes as footwear was exchanged to ensure everyone was OK. Then, Neil T gashed his knee open in the first two minutes having to use his socks as a bandage and Lindens dodgy ankle went after 10 minutes prompting a return to Goalie from a promising midfield position.
The Reds quickly went 3-0 down before darryl popped in his second goal of the campaign to give the Reds hope against an improved Huddersfield side. Half time was not a pleasure with the team on the end of the expected bollocking from Lindens dad at 1-3.
In the second half Lindens mate Stuart made it 3-2 with a low shot followed by a ravanelli type celebration and talk of £15 million bids for his talent. A sustained period of pressure should have brought an equaliser before we were all caught up the wrong end of the field and Huddersfield made it 4-2. After that it was all Reds with one of our new players Jock making it 4-3 and then somehow missing when on the end of a glorious cross from Martin.
Huddersfield hung on to end our magnificent home run.
Man of the Match: Linden for heroics in Goal and Jock for some great skill up front.
Other new players will remain nameless until they come forward and identify themselves.
