The Parramatta Rugby League Club has announced that it will ‘adopt’ the Central Queensland Rugby League Division in 1999.

In broad terms, the link will provide an avenue for talented local players to play firstly in the Capras State League team and potentially, in the Eels’ NRL team.

The Parra link is an important part in the overhaul of the CQ Division.

Capras State League team CEO Ross O’Reilly, hopes the drain of young players from CQ to Brisbane and beyond can be slowed, if those players have a logical career path with a CQ base: school - club - State League - NRL.
