Mackay Semi-finalists Decided

Ten Mackay and district high
schools are involved in a round robin competition comprising 13
years, 15 years and Aussie Home Loans Cup teams. All games are
played on Wednesday evenings and receive great support from
students, parents, and the local referees association.
The final round was played on
Wednesday 5 May and the semi-finalists are:

The winners of the 13s and
15s will travel to Townsville in July to play the winners of the
Townsville v Cairns clash. These matches will be played as
curtain raisers to the Cowboys v Canterbury match. Travelling
expenses will be covered by the North Queensland Cowboys.
Mackay schools dominated the
Capricornia sides for the State championships, with ten players
selected in the Open side and nine in the 15s.
