ASSRL APPOINTMENTS
A number of Queensland Secondary
Schools' representatives have been appointed to national
positions for 1999 by the Australian Secondary Schools' Rugby
League.
Peter Sinclair of Carmel College in
Brisbane has again been appointed trainer of the Open Australian
Schoolboys, and will join them for their end-of- year tour of
England, Ireland and France.
Brian Pearson (Toowoomba SHS) and
ASSRL life member Barry Gavin (Coorparoo Secondary College) have
been appointed national selectors for the open Australian
championships at Tweed Heads in July.
Matt O'Hanlon (Blackwater SHS) has
been named a selector for the 15 Years Australian merit team at
the national championships in Darwin at the end of June.
ACT's Mark Greer was appointed coach
for the Open Schoolboys' tour, while ASSRL secretary Kevin Sharp
will be team manager and Michael Fischer was named tour manager.
