HIGHLANDS NEWS
The
Central Highlands Round Robin began in earnest on 28 April. The
games opened
with the defeat of 1998 grand finalists Blackwater SHS by Emerald
in both grades.
Though the competition will be smaller this year, due to a
downturn in the
mining industry, it will be hotly contested by all teams.
The
competition is pleased to have Matt O'Hanlon, former state opens
coach,
as a co-organiser with Andrew Stone. Both are based at Blackwater
SHS.
Matt's experience will be invaluable to an area that welcomes his
wide
knowledge of league to the highest level.
