SANGRE DE CRISTO
A friend had asked me about the long vistas I had talked about. I live near this scene and was riding by one day when it occurred to me this would be a wonderful way to express the distances we see, as the day was clear. This was in May, 2001, and I thought it would be nice to show the snow-capped Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Santa Fe. In this view, they are about 75 miles (air) from the camera.
The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, May, 2001, seen from 75 miles away in the Estancia Valley.
