Tonight as I lay my limp body down to rest
Not even the calm breeze of the night can
dry these tears
Reaching out my hand, I pull my face
into the depths of my pillow as
Tears pour from these eye's
I lay clenching the sheet in my fist
Silent fills the still of the night
The moon half pale in the sea of stars
Cast no light upon this soul tonight
Tonight I weep.....alone, I think not
For off in the distance I hear the faint
call of loneliness
I can feel the pain you feel as our hearts
cry out
You not weep alone my precious love
Together we lay in the sea of love
I reach out my hand in the darkness to
take hold of yours
But it grasps at dead air
If only I could hold you close, and kiss
away those tears
If only I could hold you close, my tears
would dry
Do we cry for love that is lost...no, we
cry for a love that is.
A love that is true......
tears roll down my cheek
......a smile on my face sound strange...
not to me.....
tears fall because love is real and the
pain
from being away stings my eye's and makes
them bleed tears of
distance.
