Watching you from a far
I stand within the shadows watching
My presence unknown to the sun
The shadow standing to the side
Watching the sun move on
I watch you and all you do
You approach the shadow i lay in
Removing it from around me
I see the tears from your eyes
The sun crying it's tears
I hold you in my arms
The shadow's shielding the sun
Wiping the sun's tears away
I hold you wiping your tears
The shadow protecting the sun
The shadow with the sun one protecting the other
In each other arms they lay
Together in the vast universe
