About Katie
Well, I suppose I'm fairly average, really. I have brown hair that gathers at the small of my back, half lidded brown eyes, a stocky build, and I stand about 5 ft 3 inches. I'm fairly docile in public and I try to avoid confrontations as much as I can. I'm easily irked though it takes a lot to anger me and I will stand beside those I love no matter what.
I live in Colorado Springs which suits me well. The climate is dry and therefore with minimal humidity. We moved here in 1987 from Dearborn, Michigan and at times I miss Dearborn so dearly, I'm nearly brought to tears. ::sighs:: but Colorado is my home and where I've made a life for myself.
I love wildlife and have a soft spot for insects. I make a hobby out of raising giant silk moths with my dad when time permits. My personal favorites are Polyphemus, Cecropia, and Luna. I enjoy being around wild animals and observing them. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go with the Colorado Springs Wildlife Preservation Society up to the mining scar on the mountain and watch them feed the wild bighorn sheep.
My favorite pasttimes are singing, drawing, and writing. I have an archive at Yerf and I have performed with Michael Merrifield's award-winning Shomber choir for four years. I am a first soprano but my range goes low enough to be an alto's too. I have no writing to speak of yet, I suppose, but my ambition is to one day write childrens' books.
I am involved in an online relationship with my loving boyfriend and future lifemate, Diosden Rodriguez...who is more commonly known as Digo Raccoon. He's an aspiring animator and plans to write a cartoon saga about his characters and their escapades someday ^_^ If he lets me I'll help where I can. heh heh ^_^ He's my evil lil' coon boy.
