Kane's first appearance as the man behind the mask. The story goes something like this: As the movie begins we find a young girl named Tina listening to her parents fighting, she becomes upset and runs off. However this is no average little girl and as her father runs out on their dock to try to calm her down, the young girl (who has set herself adrift in a boat) accidentally kills him with her telekenetic powers, destroying the dock and burying her father under the water in the rubble. Years later Tina comes back to the site of her fathers death with her mother and a psychiatrist to try to get over her trauma. Tina, overcome with guilt, decides to try to resurrect her father and unknowingly releases Jason from his watery grave. I don't think I have to tell you what happens after that. However, while being one of my favorites, this movie was literally cut to pieces by the censors and does not show any brutal scenes like the earlier films. This is a major problem because Jason gets so creative in this film and without the graphic violence and gore, it's completely lost. Although I'd pay good money just to see the sleeping bag scene. You know what I'm talking about!!
