How it Must Feel

By Azureydldy

I've never seen the tides change

nor felt the pull of the undertow.

Have watched nature work the sands

out to the vast depths of faraway

oceans, though.

Waves that soften toward the bottom

the deeper it gets

must tire of the everlasting ebb and flow.

Yet they roil and crash, rise and rock

move and swell on and on.

The floating embryonic state of surrender so sweet

swirls from the powers seeming stronger.

Bearing down, reaching substance,

safety and solid truth

grains of grit caress beneath my feet.

Movement continues, perhaps softer

more restrained.

Debate forms in a split second

Will I ride the tide again.

This must be how the pull of the water feels.

Sometimes I'm powerless as nature has her way

Yet I sense the respect of the

need to calmer seas.

No play, says Neptune, as I strive to make deals.

No play says Mother Nature

its not what I allow.

This is real, this is true.

You are my light, my child.

You will survive

The following poem is a personal favorite of mine written by a great friend and web page advisor. Thanks for this wonderful contribution to The Poetry Page, Gemi.

An Untitled Song From The Heart

By GemiMore

My heart followed when you left.
I watched it disappear into the abyss.
The nothingness it left behind screams through my waking hours
-- draining me -- until I finally, finally sleep again.

The abyss in which you sleep tugs at my soul
to steal from me what is left of this rotting shell.
It tugs; not knowing that I give willing to whatever,
or whomever, would take my pain.

This following poem is very special and was contributed by Geezluiz.

WHISPERS

I am listening....
can you hear it too?
All you have to do is stop and listen

Let me tell you of the WHISPERS..!!

When I look up into the western sky at night
Millions of diamond-eyed stars whisper to me
Eash a separate voice with one phrase...
YOU ARE LOVED.

When I walk in my beloved mountains
And the warm sun shines upon my face
It wraps me in it's gentle voice..
YOU ARE LOVED.

I am listening...
can you hear it too?
All you have to do is stop and listen...

A friend will call with a laughing hello
or seek solace in my words
And whatever is said, the heart truly speaks...
YOU ARE LOVED.

All the music that I would share tonite
be it classical or rock...
It speaks so of the heart of me...
YOU ARE LOVED.

I am listening...
can you hear it too?
All you have to do is stop and listen...

A flower, a bird, a sweet gentle soul
at the beach...conversations with the waves...
They all speak to me...
YOU ARE LOVED.

The wind at my face and the sun warms my back....
A tree to shade and protect...
Like loving arms around me all...
YOU ARE LOVED.

I am listening ...
can you hear it too?
All you have to do is stop and listen...

A true love, an old friend...
A lost child, a forgotten trinket...
All have their whispers ....
YOU ARE LOVED.

Speak to me oh happy earth..
And know that I take joy
In all those whispers gentle on my soul..
YOU ARE LOVED.

I am listening...
can you hear it too?
All you have to do is stop and listen...

YOU ARE LOVED...
