From the Parking Lot
One night, mid-way through the week, we were having our group devotion. Someone had just made a very deep point and asked if we had anything else to say. Immediately, this toy started playing music. We hadn't heard it for three or four days and it picks that moment to open its mouth. It then proceeded to haunt us in the middle of the night, during our quiet times, and throughout the remainder of the week. Thus, we gave it the above nickname.
This is what a week on a BCM mission trip can do to you.
Really, she was just trying not to grate off her fingers.
When we arrived in Vancouver, the skies were overcast, and it was evening, so everything was dark. The next morning, we awoke to find that mountains had sprung up overnight (oh, what a little rain will do). Apparently, they were easily destroyed, though, because they seemed to come and go throughout the week. It was like God decided to play peek-a-boo with us. I'm just thankful that He allowed us to share in such a glorious revelation when it was appropriate.
