" Despues de pretender "exponer" en forma escrita,lo que pienso sobre lo que es el sistema MIDI,dar algunas referencias y presentar algunos MIDIlinks,quisiera tambien dar a conocer a nuestros lectores algunas imagenes de los instrumentos de transicion entre los instrumentos musicales acusticos tradicionales,despues de la invencion de la Guitarra electrica, el Bajo electrico,el Piano electrico y el Organo electronico y antes del MIDI. Una especie de "dinosaurios" extinguidos que constituyen toda la era de investigacion que permitio alcanzar la "computarizacion" del sonido y por consiguiente,la computarizacion de la Musica, que es precisamente el Sistema MIDI.No son otros que los Sintetizadores Analogos (Analog Synthezisers), cuyo estudio y presentacion me gustaria dedicar un capitulo aparte,dada su notable importancia en el desarrollo tecnologico de la Musica.

El sistema GM es toda una serie de especificaciones para cualquier instrumento generador de sonido.Tal sistema ha sido acordado entre el Japanese MIDI Standards Committee y el American MMA (MIDI Manufacturers' Association).

El Formato GS es un grupo estandarizado de especificaciones para los instrumentos ROLAND el cual define la manera en la cual tales instrumentos van a responder a los mensajes MIDI.
