My Regular Job
A Renewed InterestI owe my renewed interest in magic and performing in part to this job. Part of the duties of a Hospital Police Officer include maintaining order within the hospital and in particular, Emergency Room. I found that there was a need to help take the minds of children waiting in the ER off of what was going on around them. When I would perform magic, I found that I could hold their interest for as long as was needed. Not only did I keep the children entertained, but I also kept the parents and other patients entertained as well. I would recommend that any Hospital Police Officer or Security Officer in a hospital learn a few magic tricks. You never know when it may come in handy.

I work as a Hospital Police Officer at a City Hospital in New York City.
I have been on the on the job for over 5 years and I currently serve as the
Technical Support Officer for the department. I am responsible for maintaining the hospital's computer security systems and providing weekly, monthly and annual statistics on crimes which take place within the facility, as well as the status of the
facilities security systems.
