NP blowing tree

Here depth is shown in NP via textured stitches

Here R some reasons I 'had' to do the pattern :
1) I like patterns composed of simple lines (as the branches)
2) The textured stitches made it an undertaking I wanted to try
3) Mauve, turquoise & taupe were my predominate colors
Using both yarn & floss on 14 mesh canvas, the stitched area here is 14" W X 13" H. It combines a variety of decorative stitches and pastel colors. Together, they represent a blown tree in the desert, underwhich there R a shadow & mirages, against a BG of hills, the sky & sun.
The only time the conventional Continental stitch is used is for the sun.
