Startling Revelation O' The Moment

JC is God, y'all.
I know this may come as news to some of you... some have already realized this to be true. As for myself, it crept upon me rather slowly. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but somewhere between "MMC Rocks the House!" and "Wi-yi-yi-yippie-yi-yay" it hit me like a ton of bricks.
Allow me to explain.... I'll see if I can put it into words.

It all began, of course, in the fall of 1990, when I sat my pre-teenaged self down to watch the new season of MMC and found a slew of new castmembers had joined the show... one of which was the same JC Chasez in question. He was a slight laddie, incredibly skinny and with some facial features you could tell he'd need a few years to grow into... and the most endearing gap-toothed grin in Orlando (okay, I might be exaggerating on that one). I heard him sing a few times, and liked what I heard. I certainly thought he could go somewhere with that voice if he wanted to.
Then came the infamous Wipeout of "Emerald Cove" fame. THIS was when I fell head over heels for the kid. I don't care what anyone says, Wipeout was the killer character on that show... dude! Hehehehe, it seems he never managed to drop that word from his vocab :P. And I was digging the long-haired look, personally.

The show ended... JC disappeared into oblivion, as far as I was concerned... until I heard that he was trying to make a group fly in Europe with some other brat that had joined the MMC cast the year before it was cancelled. When I heard "IWYB" the first time I listened to the amazing riffs and knew... just knew that whatever talent JC had been holding back those years on MMC, he was now pulling out in abundance. Wow.

Ever since then, I've for some reason been restrained in showing my devotion. I mean, I've always loved the guy. He's always saying the most adorable stuff, and he's got the most insightful and respectful things to say at other times as well. I readily admit that his voice is like buttah, baby... were he a black man I have the feeling his name would be a lot more well-known and well-respected. The chiseled look has never done much for me when looking at guys, but I more than readily assert that the man is beyond beautiful. Seriously, y'all.
I've found myself slipping every once in a while... I hear or see something and seriously feel the need to bow in worship, in awe of what he does and what I feel he's capable of doing. I've said on more than one occasion that he was perfect (you'll notice these slips throughout my site), and JC is the only member of *NSYNC to make me wonder aloud why Lance is my favourite. I can best sum up my feelings on JC with the following statement: "Lance may make me forget my name, but JC can make me forget Lance's name."

It all came to a head when I had the opportunity to listen to the "No Strings Attached" album. I won't give anything away, but this is what cemented my feelings. JC is, as a songwriter, a force to be reckoned with to be sure. I see HUGE things in his future. His songs kick ass, period. I will have to stop now because I am seriously about to engage in a gush-fest the likes of which you have never seen before... in case you thought that what I've written so far isn't bad enough :-P.

That said, it's not that I really think JC's perfect. Hell, no. I think it's more a case of JC can do no wrong. He's a putz, come on. He's a dork, he's a spazz, and... like a normal human, he has been known to just plain mess up in life sometimes. BUT, I don't care. It's ALL okay, why? Because he tries (and I've read some amazing things he's done and said to fans), and he's got such amazing gifts and uses them SO well.

Finis.
