Dear Family &Friends, I?ve set my sights on a lofty goal to join Avon?s 3-Day 60 mile stroll. Why? How Come? Por Que? Here's the answer: To raise much needed funds to battle breast cancer. Am I writing to boast, to brag or to vaunt? No. Not at all, It's money I want. I need to get pledges from those in support (like $1,800 total) so be a good sport. I'm asking for only a simple donation, I'll wear the sneakers and face dehydration, and blisters, and swelling and possibly rain, to join this very important campaign. 'Cuz breast cancer is a deadly disease, But early detection is one of the keys, That's the reason for this expedition, To provide low cost clinics is part of the mission. So, how can you help in this 3-Day production, And write it all off as a great tax deduction? Just ask for the form, that's now mostly blank, Complete it, write a check and fire them off to the bank. Together we'll work to improve women's? lives, Our mothers or sisters, our friends and wives Because for now, getting active appears to be the best answer, In beating the deadly disease of breast cancer.
