I wonder what it would be like to marry Himura Kenshin

Himura Kenshin

Alias: Kenshin (by Kaoru and Sanosuke), Ken-san (by Megumi), Ken-niichan (by Ayame and Suzume), Hitokiri Battousai (by his rivals), Baka Deshi (by Hiko), Himura (by Misao) -- way too much to mention all.

Looks: C&C, meaning "cute and cuddly". If it wasn't for the X-shaped scar on his cheek, who'd believe this man is now 28 and was the top Hitokiri 10 years ago, seeing him look soooooo cute in SD or saying 'Oro'? A little short, with a messy flip of long red hair, violet eyes. Smiling and tranquil -- that is, if he's not pissed. In Battousai stage, his reddish bangs turn in a blazing scarlet, and his eyes are golden. And that expression -- it can scare the ghosts outta Hell.

Smarts: Not easy to say at first sight. Sometimes acts plainly stupid, when concerning common sense areas. Streets smarts very accuted. And there's no one better to turn but him, if it comes to fighting skills and strong swordsmen.

Personality: Normally, Kenshin is the loveliest person around in Kamiya dojo. Very kind and demure, he treats women with such a tenderness and respect that even a Yuki-onna (snow woman) would melt. Extremely protective of his Kenshin-gumi. Prone to ditz shows sometimes. Has a quite curious speech, calling himself "sessha", saying 'Oro' when confused, and calling women around by the extremely polite "-dono" suffix. WARNING!!: Kenshin, despite this all, has a hidden side that you better not awake. Hard pressed, he will partially/totally relapse into the coldhearted killer he once was, and in that stage, no one will survive to his blade.

Cooking: Tastier than Kaoru's, but only a little. May happily learn more spicy recipes and improve. Pretty good at handling house maintainence too.

Fighting skills: Nearly invincible. With his sakabatou (reverse-blade sword), he applies the most painful and blindingly quick slashes all through the body if his enemy. The list of combat techniques he has is way great -- some are Ryusuisen (Flying Dragon), Ryukansen (Dragon Whirlwind), Kuzuryusen (Nine-Headed Dragon), and the infamous Succession technique of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu: the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki (Flash of the Flying Dragon).

Special abilities: Handles daily stress admirably, attracts hordes of rivals and lovesick women w/o any efforts, stands many forms of physical and mental wounds... Want me to stop? *lol*

Competition: Yukishiro Tomoe, Takani Megumi, Kamiya Kaoru. Tomoe, after all, has the merit of being his first love and wife, and after her *sniffff* demise, she has in her own right a very special place in Kenshin's heart. Megumi seemed to like him until Kyoto arc, explaining her endless teases towards Kaoru, but it seems she has backed off to search for another man (Sanosuke? I hope so! ;). Kaoru, in the final stage, will be the harder cookie. People aren't more stuck than Kenshin is with Kaoru. I'm willing to bet you have it 99% lost. Also, there are his enemies -- he'll spend up more time fighting them than with you at home.

In-Laws: None real relatives, as his parents died when he was little, and later he was sold as a slave. The caravan he was in was slaughtered by bandits (including three teenage girls - Akane, Sakura and Kasumi - who tried to save him), and he was saved and found by Hiko Seijuuro, his Master. Hiko himself may just humph and ask what did you see in 'baka deshi', but NEVER underestimate the man. Yahiko might want to kick your ass for breaking up Kaoru and Kenshin if they're going out, and Sanosuke may think the same too. Megumi also won't be too happy. And Kaoru? Eeeeh... I honestly can't imagine K&K w/o each other... I REALLY dunno...

Finances: Most likely a little poor, as he lives in a ruined Dojo. Also may be willing to part of Kamiya Dojo again to search with you a new place to live. Better get used to live as a wanderer with him, or bring your own money (remember the insurance policies!) and tell him to move in with you.

Sex: He's very reluctant about this main subject, but eager to please his loved one (check the third OVA to see some not-so-subliminal hints). Shy at first, though to make you happy, he will slow down, or speed up.

Overall: Hm, despite being the loveliest man, it's not really enough to cut it. It says 'CHALLENGE', being a man of a very dark past with a lot of enemies still, and a would-be lover closest as possible to the word 'nutshell' (it's not that I hate you, Kaoru-chan!! TT). However, if you take the chance, this 'baka deshi' may be more than worth the wait.
