Climbing on the Soapbox Spring is about on us and with it comes all of the little birds back ... that is if they have a place to live. With our encroachment of the "wild" areas there is becoming less and less places for them to live .. namely the cavity nestors .. those that build their nest in old deadwood trees with holes.. most of which have been cut down or trimmed especially in the cites .. IF we are to keep these birds we need to give them places to nest .. And this is good ecology also .. for many of them eat lots of insects and weed seeds .. as an added bonus they are fun to watch ..
