Selects OrderTrust to Provide Additional Retail-Level Service to Online Customers
Lowell, MA - March 23, 1998 - OrderTrust,

1-800-FLOWER Interactive Services Division has selected the OrderTrust order
processing services for real-time credit card authorization. 1-800-FLOWERS is now able to
offer its customers increased convenience, faster response, and complete order information
in real-time.

to make certain that sales are confirmed almost immediately and customers requests are
satisfied while still online, similar to what customers experience via the phone and at
the retail store level.

Using OrderTrust's OnRamp plug-in software module to
interface with 1-800-FLOWERS' Microsoft Site Server, OrderTrust's order processing network
captures the customer's payment information from the Web site, transfers the information
to OrderTrust's secure system, routes the information to the payment processor for
approval, and sends a verification of the complete order back to the customer. Because
OrderTrust already has a dedicated line to 1-800-FLOWERS' payment processor, the use of
the plug-in application allows OrderTrust to catch orders directly from the Internet. As a
result, 1-800-FLOWERS' new system was quickly implemented, enabling the leading online
florist to immediately see a return on investment.
