Plants

A common plant to the prairie would be the sawtooth sunflower. It flowers in
Autumn and can be used to reduce fevers and treat burns.  It has pretty yellow
flowers growing off the stems. Plants have adapted to their environment and if
you examine it closely you with find parts off the plant that make it able to
survive in prairie conditions. 

    Big Blue Stem is the most common plant. It flowers in late summer and can
grow up to 8 feet. It is nutritious for cattle.
