Cammie's Canadian Vacation

In August of 2000, Cammie came to Canada for a week to stay with me..:) It was her first trip to Canada, and she enjoyed it very much!

We first went to Niagara Falls crossing at the bridge at Queenston Heights. There we saw the gondola that crosses over the rapids. Then we drove towards Niagara Falls, first stopping at the floral clock. Then onto Niagara!

While in Niagara Falls, we visited many of the museums and displays there, most of which are located on famous Clifton Hill. Here Cammie is posing with an alligator from the movie Predator.

Here I am standing inside a replica of the belt worn by the largest man in the world. This display was at the Guiness Book of World Records

Also while we were in the area, we visited Marineland. We saw two live shows there, the dolphin show and the killer whale show. They were very good. We saw bears as well, they were funny to watch. We also saw whales up close in the outdoor pools. There is also an amusement park area and Cammie and I went on the world's longest roller coaster ride. Cammie and I also visited the deer park at Marineland, and I bought some food to feed them. Here is Cammie petting one of the many deer there.

After our trip to Niagara, we went to the town of Whitby, just outside Toronto. There we toured Cullen Gardens. It's a beautiful miniature village with live plantings of all shapes and sizes. It is set in a natural valley-like setting. There's plenty to see and do here for kids of all ages.

After our trip to Whitby, we then came to my home in Essex where we visited some local tourist spots including Colasanti's Tropical Gardens and historic Fort Malden in the nearby town of Amherstburg.

Well, thats all for Cammie's vacation to Canada for the year 2000. Make sure you check out the other vacation pic pages I have here...:)
