This page is for two other
Angels in my life

As you probably already know, these two
angels are my sons.  I guess I really don't
have to tell you that they are my
pride and joy. *S*

I guess as part of this page, I wanted to
list a few of my favorite quotes and sayings
that I have found for kids.
Some of them are very touching.
I hope you will take the time to
read some of them.  *S*

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to
paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a
stray
cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my
favorite cake just for me, and I knew that little things
are special things.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a
prayer,
and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me
good night, and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come
from
your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt
but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you
cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked....and
wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw
when you thought I wasn't looking.

Children Learn What They Live

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient,
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns
confidence.
If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance, and friendship,
He learns to find love in the world.

~On Parenting~

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for
itself.
They come through you but not from you, And
though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make
them like you,
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living
arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends with you His might
that His arrows might go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

A Mother's Prayer

Lord, I need your help today.
I want to care for those you've sent into my life,
To help them grow in body, mind, and spirit,
To help them develop the special gifts you've
given them.

But I also want to free them
To follow their own paths
And bring their loving wisdom
To the world.

Help me to embrace them without clutching,
To support them without suffocating,
To correct them without crushing.

And help me to live joyfully and playfully
Myself so they can see your life in me
And find their way to you.

Just a Little Boy

He stands at the plate with heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded, the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help him; he stands all
alone.
A hit at this moment would send the team home.
The ball meets the plate, he swings and he misses.
There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos
and some hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries: "Strike out the bum."
Tears fill his eyes; the game's no longer fun.
So open your heart and give him a break.
For it's moments like this, a man you can make.
Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget.
He's just a little boy and not a man yet.
