Birthday Wishes

For your birthday, it's my only hope
That all your wishes be granted...
That your world is something you can cope...
That you see the love I so graciously planted.

This is the thirteenth birthday
I've had the pleasure of celebrating.
As you sleep soundly, mind far away,
I sit here thinking of you, creating...

Wanting you to know how very much you mean...
Searching for words to basically show
That it's on your treasured love I lean.
I would not survive without you, I know.

You are now and always shall be
The man who walked out of my dreams.
I know there's times you doubt me,
My faithfulness not always what it seems.

But babe, you have a heart of gold,
So in this, your thirty-third year,
Please remember we'll always grow old
Together forever, my dear.
