Existence
Her silent soul has much absorbed
The loneliness she's fought.
In a web of silence and sadness
Is where it seems she's caught.
Thought she's searched, no one is out
Waiting exclusively for her.
No one looks, no one talks,
No one sees what does occur.
The way she tries to make them feel
As important as she can,
Asking about their own lives and
Filling needs she needs to fan.
And so since she is half of two
And two is what they seek,
It makes her feel neglected,
Instead of strong, she's weak.
Attempting to break the vicious pattern
Of anonymity and insignificance,
She searches forever for someone who
Will acknowledge her existence.
