Life is not as life would seem
When living's done inside a dream,
And wishes never leave the gate
While failure you anticipate.
Love within the wedding band
Exists while walking hand in hand.
The feelings found inside your heart
Should multiply while you're apart.
But dreams forsake and create
A mind who's life will not abate.
As passion calls and seeks release,
the mind has thoughts that will not cease.
Touch me, touch me not I pray
as I go through my boring day
Wishing for things that I can't find
Except for when within my mind.
Wanting more with passing time,
Love cannot hear, it's so sublime.
I search forever looking 'round
for my mind to hit hard the ground
And think thoughts that can be real.
But what I wouldn't give or steal
For someone who can give me that
Which I keep hidden under hat.
