Kingdoms and Castles

Once upon a time...
There was a Kingdom of Chaos
Where all the subjects ran wild and free.
The Kings did embark on their journeys and such
And left all the chaos to one Queen and me.
Five Princes and one Princess did rule the land
With their demands, their whines and their lore.
The Kings disappeared for hours on end
While the Queens tapped their toes and paced the floor.
Queen One sat yawning at the kitchen table
After seeing her King off to work for the day.
Queen Two and her King were fast asleep
As the subjects snuck around down the hall to play.
The Princess behaved well, being the only girl
Among five randy Princes who were really bad.
The Princes didn't know what the word 'behave' meant,
As they ran around the castle giggling a tad.
Louder and louder the subjects became,
The walls of the castle ibrating with their laughter.
Queen One wanted peace among the walls of her home
So she retreated into her mind - happily ever after.
But the Princes weren't happy until everyone woke.
So their noise persisted until the sound cracked through
The walls of the castle and Queen One's fragile mind.
She snapped and she snarled and began to unglue.
Peace nonexistent among the castle walls...
Persistent giggling and laughter abound...
The subjects pushed and prodded and pulled
Until Queen One admitted they'd won this round.
Queen Two and her King were barely alive
As they stumbled to the kitchen to join Queen One.
Kingdoms and Castles, Queens and Kings.
All a nice thought...

...but now the day had begun.
