One Word
I've given too much power
Through these words I write.
The words make you stronger
While loneliness I fight.
I give unconditionally
My love as best I can.
Wanting your attention
Thoughts of you I ban.
Needing with desperation
To be loved in return.
Left with little words
And so I'm left to yearn.
Schedules, jobs, time restraints
All play a major role.
The busy world peeks in
And steals away my soul.
The very day we met
I knew I loved beyond repair.
I know for sure you realize
How much I really care.
What I feel is real
And I know it seems absurd.
I'm waiting very patiently
