Seeking Truth
Sunshine breaks out through the clouds
While raining sweet despair.
I'd be untrue to myself
To say I just don't care.
Sometimes things don't go as planned
Your body feels as if unmanned
Life gets rougher every day
Minds snap going every way
It gets hard to simply breathe
So you feel the need to leave
Sometimes love can come unglued
People can be mean and rude
Life is short but anger lives
Truth be known it's what she gives
It's not liked but it's a must
For dying is the endless trust
Sometimes things get out of hand
Heart and soul are vacant land
Peace is something simply sought
Given free is what be ought
When it's not is when she takes
A life for her is what she makes
Like a moth fresh from cocoon
Wings spread high toward the moon
Drying out and testing strength
Stretching out to their full length
Ready to take on the first breeze
Let her go, let her go, please
Sunshine breaks out through the clouds
While raining sweet despair.
I'd be untrue to myself
To say I just don't care.
