Shared Storm

Thunder heard off in the distance.
Love is on the line.
Electricity crackling through the air
As I hold your hand in mine.

Many words exchanged this night.
The thunder imitates my heart.
Thoughts, feelings and touches shared
As the storm tears the world outside apart.

Growing in intensity, this storm within,
As your sexy words I hear.
Lightening flashes across the sky.
I shiver with your love so near.

Rain water falls upon the ground.
I feel your breath upon my skin.
Cool wind blowing outside the window. With heat, I'm melting from within.

Afraid was I to give myself
So completely to your love.
I held back as long as I could
Then lightening flashed above...

...And over the edge I fell.
So fast, so strong, so damn good.
So many words I wanted to say,
If only I had been able, I would.

Instead over the rolling thunder,
As I heard you whispering my name,
I gave you everything I could.
Now I'll never be the same.

Sure I loved you strongly
Before the storm we shared.
Now I'll love you forever,
For my soul your love has bared.
