Snowflakes...
Snowflakes falling, spinning down,
As time forgets to hold your hand.
Cold, white blanket covers the town.
Frigid air blows across the land.
Winter winds, you see your breath
As you exhale a heavy sigh.
Icy, darkness, humble death -
Watching green things slowly die.
Daybreak comes, it feels so nice
To feel the light upon your face.
Sunlight glistens across the ice.
Window panes in Jack Frost's lace.
Fireplace lit with warmth aglow,
Toasty heat to warm you through.
The temperature falls really low
But there's nothing you can do.
Winter days have settled in;
Snowdrifts climbing up the house.
Days to wonder where sunshine's been;
Nights to hibernate like a mouse.
