Stolen
You stole a piece of my heart
When you walked out the door
I've looked around all over
But cannot find it anymore
Tears have fallen from my eyes
That in the past were rarely shed
No difference between dream and reality
Thoughts of you in my head
Words written on a pallet of love
Have disappeared from my sight
The make-believe land we created
Erased simply overnight
Imagined embraces, both given and received
Your soft touch so divine
Kisses were never really exchanged
Though I've felt your lips on mine
Your arms were strong, your hands were soft
Both firm and gentle in their touch
You knew just the right places and ways
My God, I miss you so much
Loving was passionate, thorough and sweet
Words of love whispered in my ear
Though we lived so far from each other
It felt as if you were always near
The embers never die, my Love
The afterglow still burns
You gave your heart then took it away
Forever my heart still yearns
The hole in my heart is large
Where once my heart was whole
Though we've never seen or touched
You were able to reach my soul
