The Storm
In the air before the rain
They feel the storm is on its way,
Knowing it can cause them pain,
Yet living for this single day.
Feeling electricity,
Felt in the fiber of their souls,
Living for it desperately,
Knowing only it makes them whole.
Warm and wet, translucent sea,
Enjoyment playing on the shore,
Passion grows alarmingly,
Never having had chance before.
Breathing in the sweetest breeze,
Sharing their heartbeats one by one,
Quickly stirring up the seas,
The waves had only just begun.
Tide comes in and rises high,
Drowning them in all it's wonder,
Seeing lightening in her eyes
Only adds to his heart's thunder.
Pounding surf and brewing storm,
Winds kick up to hurricane speed,
Lover's caress keeps them warm
While feeding on each other's greed.
Huge waves wash over the sand,
Crashing hard on the starving shore,
Joining now, they understand
Like never understood before.
All is quiet, the storm passed,
The ebb and flow of gentle tide.
Peaceful souls, wondrously fast,
Passion's shores, did finally ride.
