The Struggle
So many thoughts enter my mind
When I think of you.
Sweet reality, sexy fantasy
Do you feel it too?
When I speak can you feel
What I really say?
The words flow out of order,
Urgency held at bay.
If I could truly speak my thoughts
You'd be quite amazed
That such things could come out.
You'd be simply dazed.
You have no clue how often
I've thought the things I do.
If I could only say them aloud,
My thoughts might frighten you.
My needs are getting out of control
And so my tongue I bite.
It's getting to the point of no return,
So I struggle with the fight
Of being sweet and innocent
Of holding it all inside.
One day soon, however, I think,
You may need to hide.
