The Tango

Guitars playing wildly,

violin reaching deep into me.

You quickly looked away,

smiling so bashfully.

As the music played,

and the people danced;

as your body swayed,

I fell in a trance.

I looked to the left,

you looked to the right.

I could have watched you move,

that way all night.

You held out your hand,

stepping to the beat.

Smiling at my heart,

calling out to me.

As we danced the tango,

in the candles' flickering light.

I Knew I needed you near,

each and every night.
