The Sad Story
One day I was sent an e-mail that talked about a guy that made a deal with a girl. It stated that if he got 1,000,000 hits on his site that asked her to marry him, then she would have to mary him. This was my response to the e-mail.
This is the biggest hunk of Horse SHIT!
Think seriously ladies instead of using your melodramatic 3rd side of the
brain. I am not trying to be an ass, but think about this shit for second.
This girl that he is trying to get to marry him is making him jump
through a shit load of loops for her. Which means that once he gets married,
she's going to make him do 10 times the things that he already does. It is
nice that this guy is willing to go through all of this to prove his love
for her, but what if he only gets 999,999 people to visit his web-site, is
she just going to say, " OH, I'm sorry, I can't marry you.." Horse shit.
That's all it is. She should realize that this guy is in love with her and
if she feels the same way she should marry him instead of making some stupid
stipulation to love. Love is something you can't put stipulations or
boundries on it is a state of being and a fact that you can't deny. The
sooner women and men realize this, the better this world is. So don't talk
to me about inspiring men to be more romantic. If you have any doubts about
me, call my girlfriend.

You people look at this too literally. The point is being missed completely. # 1. he didnt have to do it. # 2. it doesnt matter if he got 1 person to look at the damn site or if he reached the goal, she still would have married him. if she didnt want to marry him, she would not agree to such a bet. Think about it. Don't you think that a bet is a bit prosaic to decide whether or not you are going to spend the rest of your life with someone. I don't think anyone could be that stupid. # 3. it had nothing to do with any "stipulations" or "boundries". did anyone even look at the site; this bet was made in pure fun, it was something to make it interesting.
If any of you thought that it was an attack on any of your relationships or your character when i wrote "maybe this will encourage our guys to see the light", then you are one track minded and have no insight. # 4. just because you wouldnt do what he did, doesnt mean that it wasnt completely honerable.
