"Why We're Here"

Why are we here? Well, it started with an idea from one of own, Rhyme. After a week or so, it was suggested by another that a ?save the X-men? page should be created also. Ideas merged, and eventually, our webmistress Ali, had a page up.

Now, we have many topics here on X-Rising. One, is for the purpose of ?publishing? the fan created Uncanny X-men #371. It is due out in June, so until then, some preview art will be put up to whet your appetite.

Related, but not included, is a place for our artists and writers to have a place to show off their skill. A place to show off what they draw or write, and hopefully, use as part of a resume? at some time.

Saving the X-men. What we want to do, is to increase exposure to the mistakes made by the editors, and bring it to the attention of the masses, in order for them to do something about it. Editorial control, is, we believe, excessive compared to other Marvel titles. We?d like for those that feel the same as us, to write Marvel (using the old snail mail) to give them the idea of what the fans are thinking.

Also, we hope to do reviews, columns, and all around goodness. As always, the site is in a constant state of evolution, so new things will be added, and old made better. We want to have fun while we?re here, and hopefully you will as well.
