neil's sonic youth page: sonic youth are one of my favourite bands. they are very good at making [tasteful] noise. so you can't argue with that then...
this site is a really good reference for all things sonic youth.
the unofficial sonic youth page: this is also pretty good with lyrics, tabs, info and all the other usual stuff.

ultraworld: official orb site: the orb... orb-tastic... my personal favourite album is u.f.orb - the best ambient-techno album in the world... ever. [possibly]
this site is the official site.. and as well as being useful, it is also rather fantastic to look at.

boards of canada: listen to music has the right to children and find out how good this scottish techno duo really are... ['very good' is the answer]

belle and sebastian: this site is dedicated to, er, belle and sebastian who are another excellent scottish band [lots more good scot bands to follow]... check out the top ten's page :-)

mogwai: mogwai create beautiful music with loud bits. and not many words. which rocks. their album 'young team' was one of the best albums of this decade for me. this site is one of the best 'unofficial' mogwai fan sites.
official mogwai information: this is the official info. site as the name suggests and is also worth a visit if you're interested in the band.

dinosaur jr: jamie's turnip farm dinosaur jr. have sadly called it a day but i still love them so here's a great website dedicated to them and their music! :-)

idlewild: idlewild are, er, another scottish band which i like... they play punk music... loudly. if you are new to idlewild try to get the 'captain' e.p. and/or their 'hope is important' album...
also check out this site which is very good. it has the usual things like discography, interviews and sounds.. etc.

r.e.m.: r.e.m... one of my favourite bands ever and they seem to keep going from strength to strength as far as their music is concerned... this site is really good fan site.
file under r.e.m.: this is another good unofficial site.

imdb: the internet movie database is the best site on the internet for finding any film-based facts or info. with a list of almost every film ever made... it's the only database you'll need really... simple as that :-)

the matrix: this is an awe-inspiring film and this website is pretty cool too.. actually it's amazing.. just look at it. look at the state of it. :-)

tim burton: tim burton is one of my favourite directors.. he directed batman, edward scissorhands and ed wood... among other things. this site has information about him and his films and the forthcoming release, sleepy hollow.

star wars quotes: star wars then... great film... AND it has some absolutely top quality quote material... so if you want to get to know yr star wars quotes better then check out this site for maximum quotage :-)

polyethylene: polyethylene (or poly for short) is a radiohead chat site... me and tom tend to go there probably more often than is healthy :-) prove that age-old radiohead adage that 'meeting ppl is easy'...

i love cheese: oh yes! this is a site devoted to the many and varied delights of cheese! this is possibly the greatest ingredient of all time and makes an ordinary meal into a mouthwatering dish fit for, er, a king... yay! :-)

the dominion - pulp: this is a cool sci-fi site which includes the plutonium blonde and weekly sci-fi news updates...

jubilee 2000 - cancel the debt of the world's poorest countries: this is the jubilee 2000 website... you'll probably have heard stuff in the news about the aims of jubilee 2000... basically, it aims to have the debt of the world's poorest countries cancelled by the year 2000... visit the site and give your support.
